"The very first step in understanding what this is all about is giving up the concept of an active, volitional 'I' as a separate entity and accepting the passive role of perceiving and functioning as a process." - Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj:

Some people want knowledge, but for them the prior requisite is gurubhakti, devotion to the guru comes first; after that they collect knowledge.

Whatever natural experiences you encounter, just accept them, don't try to alter them, just accept as they come. The sum total of all this is illusion and nobody is responsible for creation - it has come spontaneously and there is no question of improvement in that - it will go on in its own way.

So long as you wear a name and form, all these problems will be there. In this spiritual pursuit, as you gradually lose your form, the name also disappears.

That in whom reside all beings and who resides in all beings,
who is the giver of grace to all, the Supreme Soul of the universe, the limitless being:
I AM THAT. -- Amritabindu Upanishad
