To give up all religions has special meaning. It means that you should give up all your habits that feed your body-consciousness. This will ensure your success in spiritual undertakings. To kill the kauravas (from the Bhagavad Gita) means to kill the identification with the physical body. To fight is what is called religion. That is the path of duty (dharma). We have to fight in order to destroy ignorance and gain Self-Knowledge. That is called one's natural duty (swadharma). Therefore, you have to do your duty, to act, and if you don't do your duty, destiny will force some action, and you will experience a down-fall. One's duty (dharma) has to be followed, and the fight must be fought. Do as I tell you. You have ample knowledge, but your faith is lacking. Increase the intensity of your faith. Increase your faith in the Sadguru.
You must have the conviction about the "Absolute" nature of Brahman. There is nothing other than Brahman. Good is according to your feelings. The difference in your feeling is according only to your faith. Those who wish to become God should follow the path of devotion. When your loyalty is proved, the state of Brahman is yours. The veil of countless days has to be removed. If devotion becomes weak after gaining Self-Knowledge, then that Knowledge is not fruitful. By devotion to God you will be famous and influential in the world. He does not need anything. Where is the shortage in His faith? Even though Krishna was a price, he served his Guru, and did a lot of hard work. His efforts resulted in his earning more riches than his Guru, the wealth of "Divinity". Everyone gets the status as he deserves. The result of real faith is definite and inevitable.
