"The very first step in understanding what this is all about is giving up the concept of an active, volitional 'I' as a separate entity and accepting the passive role of perceiving and functioning as a process." - Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Sri Ramakrishna

Sri Sarada Devi

Really and truly Sri Ramakrishna was God Himself. He assumed this human body to remove the sorrows and sufferings of others. He moved about in disguise, as a king walks through his city. He disappeared the moment he became known.
**********************************************
You will gain everything if you but take refuge in the Master. Renunciation alone was his splendour. We take his name and eat and enjoy because he renounced all. How attached the Master was to truth! He used to say that truth alone is the austerity of the (Kali Yuga) Iron age. One attains to God by sticking to truth.
***********************************************
When the Master passed away, I also wanted to go. He appeared before me and said, “No, you must remain here. There are many things to be done.”  He said that he would live for three hundred years in a subtle body, in the hearts of the devotees.
*******************************************
Sri Ramakrishna left me behind to manifest the Motherhood of God to the world.

That in whom reside all beings and who resides in all beings,
who is the giver of grace to all, the Supreme Soul of the universe, the limitless being:
I AM THAT. -- Amritabindu Upanishad
